Winter uniform jackets provided for Harbour Ayrshire volunteers

Harbour Ayrshire is a local Ayrshire charity that supports individuals recovering from drug and alcohol addiction.

They provide a range of services to:

  • assist individuals in crisis to become independent
  • support their integration back into the community

Harbour Ayrshire registered a request on the NHS Scotland Community Benefit Gateway for assistance to provide Recovery Practitioners and volunteers with warm, waterproof Harbour Ayrshire uniform winter jackets, embroidered with the charity logo.

Further jackets were needed to:

  • help keep charity staff and volunteers warm and dry whilst carrying out work across Ayrshire with individuals suffering from drug and alcohol addiction
  • ensure that the charity’s staff and volunteers are recognised as working for Harbour Ayrshire

In response to the charity’s request, NHS Ayrshire & Arran supplier MPMH Construction Ltd provided £500 of community benefit sponsorship toward the project. This enabled the purchase of seven new Harbour Ayrshire winter uniform jackets.
