NHS Ayrshire & Arran is asking patients, their families and members of the public to return any pieces of equipment they have at home that they no longer need.
Alistair Reid, Director of Allied Health Professions, explains: “If you have equipment lying around at home that you don’t need, please do the right thing and arrange for it to be returned. It gets it out of your way and could make a huge difference to someone else – this equipment could be cleaned and recycled and given to others who really need it.”
If you would like to return occupational therapy equipment – for example, equipment to assist you in the bathroom, kitchen, bedroom or living room – please call the appropriate number below to arrange collection or drop off:
- East Ayrshire: 01290 427720
- North Ayrshire: 01294 313891
- South Ayrshire: 01292 319635
If you have any NHS equipment you no longer need – for example, commodes, beds or walking aids – please call the NHS Community Equipment store on 01292 885999.
