How to get involved and share your views and feedback
Get Involved
NHS Ayrshire and Arran offers a range of rewarding and interesting opportunities whether you want to develop new skills, help others or have a say in how local services are developed.
You could be a volunteer in one of our hospitals, be a public or patient representative involved in planning and designing a new service or participate in a survey or consultation.
We are keen to work directly with people who use NHS services throughout Ayrshire and Arran to improve the way we do things and to make sure decisions we make about changes and developments to services are properly informed by the people who use them.
Opportunities vary from attending a focus group, to giving views by electronic surveys or questionnaires, to contributing to ongoing programmes of work that have regular meetings. The most regular opportunities are when services are changing. Sometimes this is because a building or equipment need upgrading, or sometimes it may be to improve efficiency or find solutions to long standing issues.
We want to involve people in these changes as early as possible in the process. Working in partnership with people who use our services creates a dialogue that highlights strengths, generates ideas and identifies where further change is needed.

Caring for Ayrshire
NHS Ayrshire and Arran is looking to create a network of people who are interested in working alongside us to help improve our services. You don’t need any special knowledge, you just need to be enthusiastic about using your experience of NHS Ayrshire and Arran’s services to help shape what we do and how we do it in the future.
If you would like to be involved, please email the Caring for Ayrshire team: caringforayrshire@aapct.scot.nhs.uk
