Care Opinion

NHS Ayrshire & Arran is working with independent not-for-profit organisation Care Opinion (formerly Patient Opinion).

Care Opinion is a national platform where patients, relatives and carers can anonymously share their experience(s) about our services to help make them better for everyone and is one of our most valuable sources of feedback.

At Care Opinion it safe and simple to share your story online and see other people’s stories too.

Feedback can be provided on www.careopinion.org.uk.

Alternatively, you can contact Care Opinion on Freephone 0800 122 3135.

Patient Feedback

How our patients experience their care is extremely important to us.

Whilst we always aim to provide care that is safe, caring and respectful, we do recognise that sometimes we get it wrong.  When we do, we are committed to learning and improving.

When we do get it right, it is equally important to celebrate this and share examples of good practice across our organisation.

Hearing experiences, good and bad, directly from our patients and staff is one of the best ways to capture this valuable feedback.

We have a number of ways in which you can share your experience with us:

Contact us on aa.patientexperienceteam@aapct.scot.nhs.uk

Or leave a message on 01292 513942 (voicemail) and someone will call you back.

Patient Experience Volunteers

We have a small band of Patient Experience Volunteers who assist and encourage our hospital patients to share their real time experience using inpatient surveys.

Patient Healthcare Stories

Listening to a patient telling their story in their own words is a powerful experience and can inspire us to look at doing things differently which can help us make a positive difference to people’s lives.

We use Patient Stories to:

  • To inspire understanding and empathy
  • Celebrate success and good examples of person centred care
  • Encourage service providers to listen and act upon what they are told
  • For learning and reflection.

Storytellers are supported to share their personal experiences in clear and constructive ways that inform service development.

To provide feedback on your Healthcare Experience – or to tell us your Patient Story, please contact us on aa.patientexperienceteam@aapct.scot.nhs.uk

Or leave a short message on our voicemail 01292 513942 with your contact details to allow us to call you back.
