We are looking to start a network focusing on how NHS Ayrshire & Arran can provide even better support at home, for people to live well with a neurological condition.
We aim to bring together:
- people living with neurological conditions who receive care at home
- care at home support staff
- members of the health team supporting people in their homes (for example physiotherapy, occupational therapy, district nursing)
We will do this by:
- starting a conversation
- giving everyone a chance to share knowledge and experiences
- deciding on the best way to build a network of people who contribute to this work
A small, informal event was held to start this project at Fullarton ConneXions, Irvine on Tuesday 23 July 2024 (1pm to 3pm).
This was the first in a series of events where people can share experiences and challenges and think about developing some solutions.
If you receive care at home and can’t come along to an event, we hope that we can still find a way to hear your thoughts and ideas. This might involve meeting with one of our team, either in person or virtually, to share your story and join in the conversation.
Upcoming events
Thursday, 24th October 2024 | 1:30 PM – 4:30 PM
Wednesday, 13th November 2024 | 1:30 PM – 4:30 PM
Venue: Fullarton Connexions, Church Street, Off Marress Roundabout, Irvine, KA12 8PE
Join us for cakes, sandwiches, and tea/coffee from 1:00 PM. You are welcome to attend one or both events, and we encourage you to bring along anyone who might be interested.
We understand that not everyone can attend in person, so we will also host a virtual link. If you can’t attend but still want to contribute, please get in touch so we can include you in the conversations.
