With just a few days left until nominations close, NHS Ayrshire & Arran is calling on the public to shine a spotlight on their health and care heroes by submitting nominations for this year’s Ayrshire Achieves award scheme.
Ayrshire Achieves is a fantastic opportunity to recognise the outstanding efforts of staff and volunteers across NHS Ayrshire & Arran and the three health and social care partnerships.
Lesley Bowie, Chair of Ayrshire and Arran NHS Board, explains: “Ayrshire Achieves lets us all celebrate the remarkable contributions of our staff and volunteers who inspire and lead by example every day.
“Whether it’s a nurse, doctor, carer, volunteer, or support staff member, if someone has made a difference in your life or the life of a loved one, now is your chance to show your appreciation.
“The deadline for nominations is Sunday 23 February 2025. So don’t delay, get your nomination in today.”
The awards celebrate excellence in six inspiring categories:
- Behind the scenes: This award is for staff who make a real difference without most people knowing about it.
- Care and compassion: This award is for an individual or team who has demonstrated care and compassion towards colleagues or patients and their families with exceptional care, compassion, dignity and respect.
- Collaboration and working together: This award is for a team who has demonstrated exceptional teamworking and collaboration.
- Making a difference with digital: This award is for an individual or team who is doing things differently using digital approaches.
- Shining stars: This award is for an individual, team or volunteer who goes above and beyond what is expected of them.
- Thinking out of the box: This award is for an individual or team who has done something new or different; delivered innovation, reform, or found solutions against all the odds.
Claire Burden, Chief Executive, adds: “There’s not much time left to submit your nomination. So, please make sure you get your nomination in before the deadline. To be nominated can mean a lot.”
