NHS Scotland is using a new text message service to ensure our patient waiting lists are up to date and that patients still need their appointments or operations.
The latest phase of the waiting list validation work being carried out by NHS Ayrshire & Arran and the National Elective Coordination Unit (NECU) will see a group of local dermatology patients contacted by text. The messages from mobile number 07860 039092 will begin later this week (3 February 2025) and will prompt dermatology patients to complete a short questionnaire regarding their condition.
To help us book patients for their appointment or operation as quickly as possible, we’re testing a new service to help us understand if patients’ needs have changed. This service will be delivered by the NHS Scotland National Elective Coordination Unit (NECU) in
partnership with the digital solutions provider, DrDoctor.
